It’s next to impossible to choose just one favorite frosted dessert. That’s why we’ve produced a list of the five greatest ice cream shops close to Lowell, MI.  We’ll also recommend some of the more popular menu items for each establishment so you can treat your taste buds to the crowd pleasers! If you’re bringing friends along, the infotainment system of the Ford Edge will keep everyone connected and entertained!

Frosty Boy

Frosty Boy, which has locations in Grand Rapids and Rockford, is a home run for cones, sundaes, and more. Frosty Boy is known for its distinctive flavors, such as its wildly famous lemon-flavored soft serve cones.  One of our favorite menu items is the Flintstone Sundae, which includes soft lemon serve, cherry cone dip, and probably the greatest topping of them all, Fruity Pebbles cereal. It’s magic in a cup.

Sweet Rewards

Sweet Rewards is a local favorite in Grand Rapids, which is only 20 minutes from Lowell. For 21 years, this family-owned shop on Division Avenue has been providing iced desserts to faithful customers. It is open from March to October and serves other delicious food as well, which includes chili cheese, milkshakes, malts, glaciers, and flurries.

Jersey Junction

Jersey Junction is a typical old-fashioned frosty treats restaurant located in East Grand Rapids’ Gaslight Village. Aside from the broad assortment of house-made waffle cones, there is also a fantastic selection of confectionery. Jersey Junction has a 1950s diner vibe and even a train – the Polar Express – running along the shop’s interior.  Its distinctive decor makes it a fun dessert spot for both children and adults!

The Conne Shoppe

The Cone Shoppe is a local favorite for a good reason: it has served a variety of iced sweets at its Michigan Avenue location for more than 40 years. The Cone Shoppe is well-known for its soft serve, which comes in more than 24 flavors. The Cone Shoppe truly has something for everyone, boasting varieties like pina colada, coconut, key lime, apricot, and pistachio nut.

Village Cone Shop

The Village Cone Shop, located in the Breton Village Shopping Center, frequently has a lineup of customers wanting to try its cones, flurries, and slushies. The shop has 23 different hand-dipped varieties from three different brands, as well as eight FlavorBurst soft serve flavors, Dole Whip, and Dippin’ Dots. The portions are packed pretty generously so we recommend visiting on an empty stomach. You’ll find no shortage of exquisite cool treats at this establishment.
